Built on integrity. Proven by performance.
About Pro Performance Roofing
An owner-led roofing and exteriors company in North Raleigh. Certified by all three major shingle manufacturers, installed by one long-term crew, and run by people who tell you what your roof actually needs.
Certified by GAF, CertainTeed and Owens Corning.
Why Ben Davis Started Pro Performance Roofing
Ben Davis grew up in Raleigh and has spent 12 years in roofing. Over that time he watched too many homeowners get the same bad deal: a hard sell at the kitchen table, a crew of strangers on the roof, and a roofer who stopped returning calls once the check cleared.
He started Pro Performance Roofing in January 2023 to run it the other way. Tell homeowners the truth about their roof, even when the truth is a repair instead of a replacement. Put the same trusted crew on every roof. Keep a production manager on site. Answer the phone after the job is done.
Ben learned discipline and accountability playing football growing up, and he runs the company the same way. In his words:
"Exceptional craftsmanship, attention to detail, and treating every home as if it were my own will always matter more than chasing volume."
Ben Davis, Owner
That is the standard behind our tagline, and it is the standard we hold every crew member, every proposal and every phone call to.
Meet Our Team
You will know who is on your project before it starts. These are the people you will talk to, and the people accountable for the result.
Ben Davis
Owner
Ben is a Raleigh native with 12 years in roofing, and he still loves the work itself, from tracking down a stubborn leak to walking a finished roof with a homeowner. He founded Pro Performance Roofing in 2023 to build the roofing company Raleigh homeowners trust without hesitation. Ben still meets homeowners on inspections and personally checks the quality of the work.
Roman Evers
Roman has more than a decade of construction experience. He helps homeowners make informed decisions without pressure: what the inspection found, what the options are, and what each one costs. He believes integrity and clear communication are the foundation of every good project, and he works to make each customer's experience simple and stress-free.
Brandon Kessler
Brandon served in the United States Army in Fayetteville, North Carolina, then settled in Raleigh with his family. He has more than a decade in roofing and construction, with experience as a roofer, a third-party inspector and a property adjuster. He is on site for every project and makes sure each home is treated as if it were our own.
Our Install Crew
Our roofing crew has worked with Pro Performance for years and has installed hundreds of roofs for us. The same crew means the same standards on every job: protected landscaping, a clean site when we leave, and work that meets manufacturer specifications.
What Sets Pro Performance Apart
Every roofer says they are honest. Here is what that looks like on our jobs.
A Consultative, No-Pressure Approach
- We explain what we found, show you the photos, and lay out your options. There is no sign-today discount and no salesperson waiting you out at the kitchen table. You decide when you are ready.
Every Component Replaced
- When we replace a roof, we replace the whole system: underlayment, flashing, ventilation, shingles and ridge caps, installed to the manufacturer's specifications.
One Install Crew, One Production Manager
- The same roofing crew has worked with us for years and has installed hundreds of roofs for us. Our production manager is on site for every project, so quality is checked while the work happens.
A Warranty That Stands Behind the Work
- Every roof carries our extended workmanship warranty. Our certifications also qualify many roofs for enhanced manufacturer warranties, including GAF's Silver Pledge.
Certified by GAF, CertainTeed and Owens Corning
- Most contractors are loyal to one brand. We are certified with all three major shingle manufacturers, so your proposal can compare them side by side.
Insurance Claim Guidance, Done Carefully
- We recommend filing only when there is evidence of real storm damage. When there is, we document it, explain each step, review the approved scope, and submit documented supplements for items the estimate missed. We have helped homeowners through hundreds of claims.
A Local Office in North Raleigh
- We work out of a physical office in Lafayette Village, not a truck or a temporary storm-season address. We plan to be here when your roof needs us again.
Repair Before Replacement
- We complete roughly twice as many repairs as replacements. If a repair will honestly carry your roof a few more years, we tell you, even when you called us about a new roof.
